Luas Cross City New Bridge Construction – Broadstone February 2016 – Time-lapse

Fassaugh Road Bridge Deck Replacement

Luas Cross City works commenced at Fassaugh Road Bridge 26th July. The works involved the installation of new foundations and abutments for the new bridge deck.

The second phase of the works involved the new deck being constructed adjacent to the existing structure on a temporary supporting structure. Once the new deck was ready the existing deck was removed and the new deck slid into position.

Broadstone Cutting

Preliminary works have commenced along the alignment of the Broadstone Railway Cutting.

Sisk Steconfer Joint Venture (SSJV) have now started work on those sections of the Railway Cutting which have not already been cleared by earlier works. These current works will involve investigation, top soil removal and site clearance.
Works will then continue in this area and all along the route until the line goes into operation in 2017.
