O’Connell – GPO Stop will be located within the median of O’Connell Street Lower, north of Middle Abbey Street and will be conveniently located to provide interchange with the Luas Red Line at the Abbey Street stop.

MAY, JUNE & JULY WORKS UPDATE

Footway upgrade works on O’Connell Street Lower is ongoing and will continue during this period. The majority of work sites will be located on the median and the west side of the street. Pedestrian access to businesses and premises will be accommodated during these works.

A series of carriageway works on O’Connell Street Lower to upgrade the road drainage network, lay ducting and strengthen road pavement will also be carried out.

The O’Connell GPO tram stop platform has been completed and the paving is well advanced.

Final resurfacing works are also taking place during this period.

Car parks in this area include Arnott’s, Gresham, Clery’s and Abbey Street.

For Arnott’s Car Park:
Approaching from the East
Use the inner orbital to access Burgh Quay. Then turn right onto O’Connell Bridge and continue onto O’Connell Street and then left onto Prince’s Street.

Approaching from the West
Use the inner orbital to access Inns Quay / Ormond Quay and continue towards Bachelor’s Walk. Turn left onto O’Connell Street and then left onto Prince’s Street.

For Gresham, Clery’s, Abbey Street car parks use the inner orbital to access Gardiner Street:
Approaching from the South

Clery’s & Gresham car parks – Turn left from Gardiner Street onto Sean McDermott Street
Abbey Street car park – Turn left from Gardiner Street via Marlborough Street

Approaching from the North
Clery’s & Gresham car parks – Turn right onto Parnell Street, left onto Cumberland Street North and right onto Sean McDermott Street
Abbey Street car park – From Sean McDermott Street turn left onto Marlborough Street and left again on to Abbey Street for Abbey Street car park
