ABOUT

The existing St. Stephen’s Green terminus stop on the Luas Green Line is the starting point for Luas Cross City. Platforms along the Luas Green Line are being extended to accommodate the introduction of longer trams in the future. St. Stephen’s Green stop will remain operational throughout the work.
What's Happening

APRIL, MAY & JUNE WORKS UPDATE

Works are finalising on the pavement at the platform area.  Luas Cross City works will not interfere with the running of Green Line LUAS service.

The track work extending from the existing tram stop on St Stephen’s Green West around onto St Stephen’s Green North is complete and new surfacing between and around the track is nearing completion.

Footway worksites alongside St Stephen’s Green Park will be ongoing during this period on St Stephen’s Green West and North.  At the top of Grafton Street minor work sites will also occur to facilitate works at the junction.

A single track has been installed on St Stephen’s Green North, east of its junction with Dawson Street. Bus stops alongside the park have been moved to the front of the worksite.

A series of carriageway works will also be required on St Stephen’s Green North to upgrade the road drainage network, lay ducting and strengthen road pavement where required.

All works are to be phased to minimise impact on pedestrian and vehicular access to the area.

The Lady Grattan Statue and the two granite troughs has been re-instated on St Stephen’s Green North and the two granite troughs will soon arrive.

PARKING
To facilitate the car parks in the area, an additional access route has been provided by Dublin City Council via St. Stephen’s Green South and St. Stephen’s Green West.  Kildare Street is also two way from St Stephen’s Green North to Molesworth Street junction.
